How to Get Your Home Ready for the Painters

A little prep on your end makes the job faster and smoother. Here's a simple checklist before the crew arrives.

You do not have to do much before a painting crew shows up, but a few small steps make the whole job go faster and protect your things. Here is a simple checklist.

Clear the space

Move small items, decorations, and anything breakable out of the rooms being painted. We will move and cover the big furniture, but clearing the little stuff helps a lot.

Take down wall items

Remove photos, art, mirrors, and curtains. Take out wall anchors if you do not plan to use those spots again, so we can patch the holes for a smooth finish.

Make a path

Clear a walking path and the area around what we are painting. For exterior work, trim back bushes near the walls and move patio furniture, grills, and planters away from the house.

Plan for pets and parking

  • Keep pets in a safe room away from the work and fresh paint.
  • Leave a spot for the crew to park and unload close to the entrance.

We handle the rest

Once we arrive, we protect your floors and furniture, prep every surface, and clean up at the end of each day. When the job is done, we walk through it with you to make sure you are thrilled.
